  • EPIC Southcoast

    Every Place Is a Concept Southcoast (EPIC for short) is a dedicated non-profit in the Southcoast of Massachusetts. And, it is a concept! What concept would that be? Well that isn’t entirely up to our team but we’re working on it!  You see, our mission is to engage a broader public in the shaping of the shared concept of our Southcoast community through creative participatory cultural events. We work with a diverse and inclusive body through communally made music, visual arts, poetry, dance, and storytelling to imagine and bring to life a concept of place. We choose with intention who we are together, who we want to be, and through those, what is home. And in our storytelling we choose what we make of our rich multicultural present, what we claim for our history, and what we ask of our future.


  • Whaling City Sound

    Whaling City Sound was founded in 1999, to provide the musical audience with a bit of our abundance of outstanding musicians, and in doing so, have the artists heard, seen and enjoyed by a wider audience.

    From the beginning, we aimed for innovative musicianship, impeccable recording quality, and professional packaging that best reflects the feel of each individual recording. Whaling City Sound is dependent on listeners of all types, from radio and retail, to jazz lovers and fans, and it is because of these people, collectively our audience, that we exist. Since our inception, our recordings have helped garner international recognition for our artists.

    Fiber Optic Center, Inc., (FOC), is an international leader in distributing fiber optic components, equipment and supplies and has been helping customers make the best cable assemblies in the world for over two decades. They’re located right in the heart of downtown New Bedford and consistent supporters of culture and community.

  • Tremblay's Bus Co., LLC

    In the late 1960s, Leo Tremblay and his late wife, Claire, founded Tremblay’s Bus Company, starting with one station wagon to bring local workers to factories in the New Bedford and Fall River areas of Southeastern Massachusetts.

    Over the years, the company set about building a reputation for superior customer service. The Tremblay name became synonymous with safety, professionalism, comfort and convenience.

    Today, Tremblay’s has over 250 school buses, 100 vans and offices located in New Bedford and Fall River Massachusetts. The School Bus division continues to be the industry leader for student transportation throughout the greater New Bedford/Fall River area. The Motor Coach division was sold to Academy Bus in August 2015.

    The Wicked Cool Places grant program intends to help advance New Bedford as one of the most culturally unique and creative cities in America. This grant aims to support placemaking or placekeeping projects that will directly involve and impact residents, visitors and/or businesses in New Bedford’s neighborhoods.

    The Wicked Cool Places ARPA Grant Program is supported by federal award number SLFRP1067 awarded to The City of New Bedford by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Facilitated by New Bedford Creative housed at the New Bedford Economic Development Council, this grant program is one component to respond to the public health emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
