Founded in 1990, Gallery X is a contemporary, nonprofit art gallery of visual, performing, and literary artist members and volunteers. Gallery X promotes its mission of cultural outreach through community partnerships, programming, and monthly art exhibits to stimulate artistic awareness in New Bedford and the surrounding communities. We provide a platform for artists, performers, and creatives of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds to showcase their talents in a safe, professional space.

Wash it down with a locally brewed craft beer, and chase it with the unique ambiance of an historical Port City. Every Place Is a Concept Southcoast (EPIC for short) is a dedicated non-profit in the Southcoast of Massachusetts. And, it is a concept! What concept would that be? Well that isn’t entirely up to our team but we’re working on it!  You see, our mission is to engage a broader public in the shaping of the shared concept of our Southcoast community through creative participatory cultural events. We work with a diverse and inclusive body through communally made music, visual arts, poetry, dance, and storytelling to imagine and bring to life a concept of place. We choose with intention who we are together, who we want to be, and through those, what is home. And in our storytelling we choose what we make of our rich multicultural present, what we claim for our history, and what we ask of our future.

Whaling City Sound was founded in 1999, to provide the musical audience with a bit of our abundance of outstanding musicians, and in doing so, have the artists heard, seen and enjoyed by a wider audience.

From the beginning, we aimed for innovative musicianship, impeccable recording quality, and professional packaging that best reflects the feel of each individual recording. Whaling City Sound is dependent on listeners of all types, from radio and retail, to jazz lovers and fans, and it is because of these people, collectively our audience, that we exist. Since our inception, our recordings have helped garner international recognition for our artists.

Fiber Optic Center, Inc., (FOC), is an international leader in distributing fiber optic components, equipment and supplies and has been helping customers make the best cable assemblies in the world for over two decades. They’re located right in the heart of downtown New Bedford and consistent supporters of culture and community.

In the late 1960s, Leo Tremblay and his late wife, Claire, founded Tremblay’s Bus Company, starting with one station wagon to bring local workers to factories in the New Bedford and Fall River areas of Southeastern Massachusetts.

Over the years, the company set about building a reputation for superior customer service. The Tremblay name became synonymous with safety, professionalism, comfort and convenience.

Today, Tremblay’s has over 250 school buses, 100 vans and offices located in New Bedford and Fall River Massachusetts. The School Bus division continues to be the industry leader for student transportation throughout the greater New Bedford/Fall River area. The Motor Coach division was sold to Academy Bus in August 2015.

The Symphony Music Shop is southern New England's most established and trusted seller of high quality musical instruments. Since 1962, The Symphony Music Shop has provided not only the tools, but the technique to play them as well, boasting an impressive lineup of professional music instructors. They’re also consistent financial supporters of music programming and instruction in our local schools and performance venues big and small.

The Mass Cultural Council is a state agency that promotes excellence, inclusion, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and sciences, fosters a rich cultural life for all Massachusetts residents, and contributes to the vitality of our communities and economy.

The Council pursues this mission through a wide range of grants, initiatives, and advocacy for artists, communities, organizations, and schools.

New Bedford Creative is housed at the New Bedford Economic Development Council, and tasked with implementing the city’s first-ever strategic arts and culture plan. The vision of the plan is that “In New Bedford, the creative community is an engaged and powerful partner, inspiring social, economic, and cultural growth. In this authentic seaport city, each and every person enjoys an opportunity to experience a diversity of cultures. Art is everywhere, encouraging fun, provoking thought, and nurturing the soul.”
